Rev. Fr. Mario Alexis Portella
Rev. Fr. Mario Alexis Portella is Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Florence and priest of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. He holds a B.A. in government and politics from St. John’s University in New York, and an M.A. in medieval history from Fordham University. He also received doctorates in canon law and in civil law from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome. He is the co-author of Abyssinian Christianity: The First Christian Nation? The History and Identity of the Ethiopian and Eritrean Christians (2012) and Ethiopian and Eritrean Monasticism: The Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Two Nations (2015). His most recent book is Islam: Religion of Peace? The Violation of Natural Rights and Western Cover-Up (2018). His writings have appeared on The American Thinker, The European Conservative and Il Mantello della Giustizia.
